This does mean that we have to operate in a covid secure way as we did prior to the current lockdown.

The following conditions of our service will apply for the foreseeable future.

We will operate ONLY by pre booked appointment with contact details being held for contact tracing, door step drop ins cannot be taken


Masks must be worn at all times whilst in the building


A maximum of two people to attend one appointment


All items must be brought in to the studio in a suitable carrier or bag so they can be quarantined prior to being handled/ worked on


Collections of garments can ONLY be 72 hours after we have finished working on or handling them

The name Amano comes from the Italian word meaning "by hand" the perfect name for describing our service. The company was created from the combined experience of generations of one family passing down their skills from mother to daughter whilst working in many areas of textiles, milling, tailoring, dress making and soft furnishings.

Her Great Great Grandchildren have been learning the trade under the watchful eye of their Mum and Company Director during this years lockdown when we devoted our time to helping the NHS making scrubs and PPE for local hospitals and health workers across the country.
